Line Command
There are Three Methods to Draw a line in AutoCAD
1). Click & Drag Method
2). Co-ordinates Method
3). Angle & Distance Method
1). Click & Drag Method
In This Method, from Draw Ribbon Menu Click on Line Command (Image-01) or Type Line or Type Shortcut key- L for Line Command Then Simply click in drawing area, to specify first point, from where you start to draw a line or specify (x, y) coordinates to specify first point & then follow extension line if want to draw a straight line or click as shown in image-02

2). Co-ordinates Method
In This Method Type Line Command Then Specify First Point , Then Second Point, Then third Point and so on
for example
Draw a Rectangle using coordinates (x, y) method (Follow the steps)
Type L for line Command then press Enter
Specify first Point (0,0) or where you want to specify then press enter
specify second point (50,0) then press enter
specify third point (50,50) then press enter
specify fourth point (0,50) then press enter
specify fifth point (0,0) then press enter then enter (twice) to close it
3). Angle & Distance Method
In this Method first type Line Command then Press Enter then specify first point by typing specifying coordinates or simply click in drawing area.
for example
Draw a Rectangle using Angle & Distance method (Follow the steps)
Type Line or L Shortcut Key for line Command then press Enter
Specify first Point (0,0) or where you want to specify then press enter
Specify second point @50<0 then press enter
specify third point @50<90 then press enter
specify fourth point @50<180 then press enter
specify fifth point @50<270 then press twice enter to close it
